There are several contraindications that may prevent someone from undergoing PMU procedures.

  1. PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING: Hormonal changes can affect the skin's response.

  2. MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, sunburn, skin infections or open wounds can increase discomfort and interfere with the healing process. Special precautions may be recommeded, and a doctor's approval may be necessary for autoimmune disorders such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, or individuals taking blood-thinning medications, with blood clotting disorders, a history of keloid scarring or hypertrophic scars.

  3. COSMETIC PROCEDURES: Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, or laser treatments in the treatment area must be avoided 4 weeks before undergoing PMU to minimise complications.

You may need to postpone your treatment if any of these apply to you.
